Farcolina® is a special modelling wax, developed by the company Farcowax to assist patients with arthritis and others requiring rehabilitation. Today, the product is used across a range of industries and is known for being easy to model and for holding its shape well. The original recipe and production method are still used today, with the third generation of the family having taken over the company.
Our special modelling clay, Farcolina®, is produced in Denmark and is sold exclusively by the company Farcowax to other registered businesses. Farcolina® is produced in white with a minimum purchase of one box of 16 kg. If you wish to purchase Farcolina® in other colours, please feel free to contact us so that we can discuss what is possible together. For other colours, there is a minimum purchase of 6 boxes of 16 kg.
Farcolina® is available in 16 kg boxes containing individual 2×500 g packs. The price will be DKK 102 per kg, excluding VAT, for white. The price for a special colour is DKK 108 per kg, excluding VAT.

We produce everything in Denmark. By using pure raw materials, such as natural white powder chalk from Faxe Kalkbrud, we ensure a clean and reliable product that meets the highest professional standards.
We always stock the classic white wax, but also offer custom production in precisely the colour you need. For larger orders (min. 6 cases) we tint the wax according to your wishes.
Farcolina® is a relatively hard and firm modelling wax that softens when heated, making it easy to work with. It can be heated by modelling it in your hands or by softening it in hot water (40-50 degrees Celsius) for a couple of minutes. When the product cools down afterwards, it retains its modelled shape to a greater extent than other modelling waxes.
Farcolina® is, as described on this page, made from pure products. One of the ingredients in our modelling clay is pure white powdered chalk extracted from Faxe quarry. Chalk consists of iron, and chalk extracted from the ground can have varying iron content depending on where in the quarry the chalk has been extracted. This means that even though it is white chalk we use, the colour can vary from production to production. We are, of course, not talking about it going from white to bright pink, but rather slight nuances of white. Unfortunately, there is not much we can do about this, but we try to produce each batch with the same batch of chalk as far as possible, so that the colour will not vary in every single box of Farcolina® sold.

Our standard modelling wax is the one called soft. We also stock a harder version, which many artists use, as it is good for this type of work.
Farcolina® is sold in 16 kg boxes with individual 2×500 g wrappings.
The product primarily consists of chalk, waxes, and petroleum jelly.
Please note that the Safety Data Sheet will state that it is advisable to wear gloves. This is a standard term used in a Safety Data Sheet for the products included. The product is extremely pure, natural, and non-harmful. We have examples of customers who have worked with Farcolina® on their hands every day for many years, as well as pharmaceutical companies that would not use our modelling clay if the product had not been tested as being natural and non-irritating.
As Farcolina® among other things consists of natural products such as lime, beeswax and white dioxide pigment colour, the product may come out with a slightly more off-white or cream colour than usual, and the consistency may also be a little different from time to time. All of this is due to the natural products which can contain higher or lower values of e.g. iron, which mixes with the colour and comes out differently. There is nothing wrong with the product itself.
