Farcolina® is a specialty modeling clay that was developed by the company Farcowax to help arthritis patients and others with rehabilitation needs. Today, the product is used in a variety of industries and is known for its ease of modeling and shape retention. The original recipe and production method is still used today, with the 3rd generation of the family taking over the business.
Our specialty modeling clay, Farcolina®, is produced in Denmark and sold exclusively from the company Farcowax to other registered companies. Farcolina® is produced in the color white with a minimum purchase of a 16 kg box. If you want to buy Farcolina® in other colors, you are welcome to contact us so we can see what is possible, here there will be a minimum purchase of 6 boxes of 16 kg.
Farcolina® is sold in 16 kg boxes with individual 2×500 g packs. The price here will be 102 DKK per kg ex. VAT for white. The price for a special color is 108 DKK per kg ex. ex. VAT.
Product sample
Do you also like to have a product in your hands before you decide? Then you can easily order a sample by writing to info@farcowax.com. The sample will be white, unless we have the specific color you want in stock. However, the consistency will be the same regardless of color. The sample costs 48 kr. ex. VAT incl. free shipping.
Properties of Farcolina®
Farcolina® is a relatively hard and firm modeling clay that softens when heated and is easy to work with. Heating can be done by modeling with your hands or by soaking in warm 40-50 degree water for a few minutes. When the product is cooled afterwards, it holds the modeled shape to a greater extent than other modeling waxes.
As described on this page, Farcolina® is made of pure products. One of the ingredients in our modeling clay is pure white powdered lime extracted from Faxe limestone quarry. Lime consists of iron, and lime extracted from the ground can have different iron content depending on where in the quarry the lime was extracted. This means that even though it's a white lime we use, the color can vary from production to production. Of course, we're not talking about it going from white to bright pink, but rather small shades of white. Unfortunately, this is not something we can do much about, but we try as far as possible to produce each batch with the same batch of lime, so the color will not be different in every single box of Farcolina® sold.
Safety data sheet for Farcolina®
The product consists primarily of chalk, wax and vaseline.
Please note that the Safety Data Sheet will state that it is a good idea to work with gloves, this is a standard term used in a safety data sheet with the products included. The product is extremely pure, natural and non-harmful. We have examples of customers who have worked with Farcolina® in their hands every day for many years, as well as pharmaceutical companies that would not use our modeling clay if the product had not been tested as natural and non-harmful.
As Farcolina® consists of natural products such as chalk, beeswax, white dioxide pigment color and others, the product may come out with a slightly more cracked white or cream color than usual, and the consistency may also be slightly different from time to time. This is all due to the natural products that may contain higher or lower values of, for example, iron, which mixes with the color and comes out differently. There is nothing wrong with the product itself.
